Mens Summer Fashion

I had fun working on Playground Magazine's Mens summer fashion editorial. Working with my favorite stylist wasn't too bad either.. Thanks again to the women of Playground for the opportunity!

Here's what we came up with:

Reuss twins arrive!

I met the Reuss family a few months back for some pregnancy portraits. At the time Jessica was 37 weeks along in her pregnancy.

Recently I was asked to document Paxton and Kensington who were just weeks old. Photographing these precious little ones reminded me of how peaceful having a baby can actually be.

I wish all the best to the Reuss family.

Here's what we came up with :

Automobile mag

A few months back I had the opportunity of working with Automobile magazine. The creative director was easy to work with and was open to my ideas. The assignment was to cover a 1991 Mustang that had 14k original miles for the 'UPSHIFT' section of the magazine.

I've never been a Mustang fan but how could I say no to such a fun assignment? My shot list consisted of moving shots, interior shots, detail shots and beauty shots of the car from different angles. We started at 7am in Titusville then drove to Orlando to for some urban scenery. I had one assistant driving his truck with me hanging out of the back. My other assistant held the strobe to fill the car.

This is what I consider a dream assignment.

catch and release

One of my fondest memories as a kid was catching caterpillars and watching them turn into butterflies. I vividly remember having a container filled with the caterpillars not knowing what would happen to them.

This mothers day Lindsay's brother Luke got her a caterpillar at the farmers market. Over the course of a few weeks we all got to see the process happen in our kitchen. On Monday I heard Lindsay scream from the kitchen that the butterfly was coming. In a frantic I grabbed my G10 and shot what I could. A few hours later when the excitement settled I was able to shoot the release on my 7d set up. I took a stab at imovie and put together a little vid.. Hope you like it.

Fun stuff.
